Women are discriminated against in their everyday shopping whether they realize it or not; the Pink Tax is one such example showing the cost difference between men’s and women’s products. Things such as women’s razors cost more than men’s razors, which demonstrates the business idea of market segmentation, where certain products are targeted towards certain consumers. However, why do women have to pay an extra $1,351 per year, on average, for these products?

Spina Farms Pumpkin Patch leaves its community feeling gourd
Spina Farms in Morgan Hill, California embraced October with welcoming arms, opening its annual pumpkin patch for others to enjoy. Established by the Spina family in 1944, they share the importance of family through their festive experience at the farm, picking pumpkins and testing their wits in the corn maze. Although not the largest pumpkin patch, the patch's picturesque and homeyness brings a family-friendly feel like no other.

EJ Carrion vamps up Carlmont’s welcoming assembly with words of wisdom
This year’s welcoming assembly introduced EJ Carrion, a renown inspirational speaker who came from a single-parent home and later received the Bill Gates scholarship. By telling his success story, he encouraged others to set goals and to take a leap of faith.
